5 years ago I started Erin's Elderberries in my home kitchen, and then I built my own commercial kitchen in the back of my retail store. Through my time of working and meeting other amazing small food businesses, I realized affordable access to an outside kitchen didn't exist. So I made it my goal to be able to provide that for my community.
The Kitchen is my dream come to life as I have worked to open the first dedicated rentable commissary kitchen in Fauquier County. My goal is to help small in home food businesses be able to expand their reach in the community by being able to offer a larger range of items and also more of their items that their in home kitchen can not handle or are not legally allowed to be made in a home kitchen.
Unsure where to start?
I (Erin) can help you from obtaining a business license, to filling out your health inspection plan, to full VDACs retail approval. I am here to help in any capacity we can. Mentoring our community is what led to this kitchen, and I'm not about to stop now!
Mentoring is easy- I meet you where your business is. Just starting out? I'll help you understand all the permits and regulations needed. Been in business for a while but want help working through a roadblock? I'm there for that too. My mentoring is tailored to exactly what YOU need at your present time.

Our kitchen sits in a large single family home area, perfect for chefs to host classes from: sushi, date night themed, pasta, bread, and kids specific classes. We are happy to rent the kitchen to any chefs who want to connect with their community!
We also offer discounts on rental hours for those chefs who provide copies of receipts from local farms or other locally made value added ingredients.
